Arghh ! ! Arsenal was forced to draw with Bolton Wanderers but they deserve the point after such a tough game. Manage to get a proper sleep after the game. I wonder what Yamamura san was doing at the same time, drinking probably ? Concorde Inn seems to be better then De Palma Inn that we stay during JGTC trip & it was nearer to Sepang. Weird weather today, it rain in the morning for a short while then it stop then started to heated up again. Hoping that it won't rain before the pit walkabout.
Departing from Concorde Inn after taking buffet breakfast, arrived in early around 8:30am. Wandering around & notice that is bunch of new cars were on display near the Mall Area. Decided to waste some shots over it. Not much of happening around during Malaysian Super Series. Right before Sprint 1 of Formula Nippon start, the sky darkens. We are putting lots of hope to get down to the grid walk.

Finally the Happy Hour is here, but it doesn't last long, unfortunately after 10 min during pit walkabout the terror arise, it started to rain. It doesn't seems to do a lot of damage because it drizzle. But it has gotten worse. Luckily, I manage to get my picture taken with Sayori Aizawa (One of my favourite ! ) with the big help of Hiroshi Yamamura, again. I notice that the official do not allowed their race queen picture to be taken with visitor. After few more additional shots, we're force to seek shelter at the paddock area. But few of "hardcore" photographer fans that igonored the rain and continue to take their beloved race queen photos. I was so impressed by their enthusiam & joined them later. I even notice that few people develope the race queen photos that was taken yesterday to get it sign, probably seeing what i did yesterday, thanks to Dennis Wu that inspired this motivation.

When the rain started to go out of control, even the "hardcores" had to take cover. And racer start to warmup their vehicle for Sprint 2 of Formula Nippon, and we're told to wait for the grid walk. Look like our wish was granted. Due to the wet condition, all the racer had to change to wet tyres. We're so near to vehicle, just few meters away, when they turn in to the pit after warm up.
We're given 10min grip walk & everyone values their time, rushing to their favourite race queen. So do I , I even kneel in to water puddle that accumulates in the track when taking their photos.

Reached Sepang around 10 morning with Terence http://teetoo.fotopages.com/, went to collect my ticket at the SIC office & was asked to wait for a while. Notice another customer waiting for his pitwalk pass, overheard his name, Andy Goh, but i wasn't sure yet.. Maybe i'll try to ask him later when i see him later as he has blaze off after collecting his pass. Proceed to the circuit and heard someone calling me from behind. Turn my head and there is this guy calling something like "Peter Lee". Of course that is not me but when i notice carefully, he is holding Panasoniz Lumix, it's KS http://lumix.fotopages.com/
Then only that i notice he was calling "fuminari" and i thought he is calling "Peter Lee" . When I proceed on to the tower, i saw the earlier guy. I approached him & he is the one, Andy Goh http://andygohyf.fotopages.com/. Check around the area and it seems that the event was not as big JGTC, no stage show, option for food is limited and lesser crowd.

Try to seached for some good spot and notice there is some japanese photographer around the tower, so we decided to camp around the same area. Tryout with some shots during qualifying then proceed to eat and have some chit chat with fellows from fotopages.

Then the most anticipated event was here.... All of us gather at the entrance of Tunnel 1, and it seems that there is only 4 of us waiting. When we arrived at the other end, the paddock area, we're kept waiting for a while before we manage to escalate our way in. When i arrived there, there is only few of us walking around. Then the crowd start to came in, those VIP, japanese photograher and japanese visitor start to shows up from no where. Then the photoshoot begins, it takes us a short while to complete the walk as there is not much team as JGTC and lesser race queen as few of the team's race queen doesn't show up at all. We try to comfort ourself by saying that they may not able to arrive in time & probably would show up on race 0) .

Once we're done walking for 5-6 round to take their photos, the crowd start to spreaded out. I was aprroaching Sayori Aizawa to get her autograph then there is bunch of people follows me to her & spoilt my plan. I intended to get their autograph when there is no photographer around, so that it doesn't interferes with photoshoot. So I have to change my plan for Sayori & proceed to Mahiro that was free from any crowd. And it went smoothly, i ask her politely for her autograph and she agreed right away, notice that her colleague Ayumi Nishikawa kinda of adores Mahiro as there is even fans from overseas. She seems to forgotten the date when she want to note the date on the signatures, and i can't recall it either ( too happy i guess ). When she asked to whom she should noted on the photo and i told her it's Shuu and she was like "Oh ! It's you", she seems to be excited and suprised and I can't believe myself as she still remember who I am. It seems that leaving her few message at her BBS previously does pay off. After those excitement, I decided to turn back to get Sayori's signature and that also went smooth. And i manage to meet up Hiroshi Yamamura from Fukouka (All his JGTC photo http://www.motorsport.com/photos/series.asp?S=JGTC&Y=0), manage to have a quick chat with him before we're forced to leave the pit area.

Hey, the Japanese photographers and visitors didn't come from nowhere-lah. They came in from the Pit Building's Paddock Entrance as well as from the hospitality suite. My local pro shooter gang came from the Press Centre and I came from the Grandstand after meeting up with Sharon Yeoh and Heather Si a.k.a the Bridgestone girls. Sun 26-Sep-2004 16:56

Birthday girl promoting Tempura Moriawase from Soba Yoshi
"Eh.. What is this ?" She ponders
Celebrating Adeleide's birthday with few of her close buddies, at the usual Japanese restaurant, Soba Yoshi (at Krystal Point, near to FIZ) that I usually go with my friend Jason http://jaselee.blogspot.com. I doesn't need the menu to order there because the lady boss, Rose would know what I gonna order, Tori Umani Tei as main dish and additional of either Zaru Soba or Tempura Moriawase. Same even for today. My colleague Vincent just upgraded his phone to Nokia 6600. Everyone want to have a piece of it. And again... HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADELEIDE ! ! !

P.S :- Those picture was taken from Nokia 6600. 2nd & 3rd picture was taken by me . My favourite picture would be the 3rd one, manage to get those effect shot out of a camera phone .

This is one of the yearly event that I won't missed out. This is 4th time and i still like it, ha.. i like anything that is related to Japan. The firework picture was not all clear, some was taken with shaky hand (mine) when holding the camera for near 20min facing toward the sky. So it may not be in very good result & futhermore, it just a E775.

missed this year Bon Odori(Bukit Jalil) , will plan nicely and schedule the next year !!! Sat 21-Aug-2004 18:34

The rest of the fellowship can be located at http://racequeen.fotopages.com/.
Do check on Favourites located at left side of the pages.

Saw this amazing result at 7pm today.. Thanks to those had visited this fotopages.

It's seems that THERE IS a pit walkabout after numbers of email fly around. Only that it was not officially announce to public, yet. Pricing should be the same for JGTC. Look like we have to wait for the official news then. Guys, prepare you camera & battery and of course the memory cards. Fri 20-Aug-2004 07:51

No messing around... with the crow

View all 6 photos...
Someone must have pissed off the crows and that is when I notice all the commotion outside my house. It happen before in front of my house when a injured crow was found. All the crows were hanging around the power line. Not a good time to be a good guy as they thought you would hurt them species. I think one of the "kampung" boys must had itchy hand to tease those crows.

great fotopage you have! I love crow. Kisses Tue 24-Aug-2004 02:17

After few hours of rest (can't resist Euro 2004), we've charge up for the final day of Japan GT at Sepang. Temperature was up to 38 degrees Celsius. Lost count of how many bottle of drink i took during the day.
The crowd for the pitwalkabout today was seems to be more then yesterday. One of the Endless Lady, Miyako chan has mistaken me for a Japanese when I thanked her (in japanese, of course) and we got into a short conversation. Look likes my interest for japanese language did pay off, after all those time reading the language book . But the officials start to chase us off slightly earlier then expected .
Then the usual stage show like yesterday follow by the Grid Walk, it was packed with the reporters, mechanics, tools & relatives of the driver and officials (i think). I notice a lot of crowd from Mall Area was shouting trying to draw the attention of the race queen .
After yesterday's sore leg incident, now it happen to my right arm, can't even lift my arm up at the day end. Til I rest if for few hours. But again, it still worth it, like i say yesterday.
Title will be added later, exhausted That's for today & will continue to get more up in these few days.
Preparing another website (http://fuminari.fotopic.net) to upload the all the picture that i taken. Minna-san Chotto matte ne .. (^_^)

Hi Fuminari
do u know if we can walk around the start grid before the race starts, or is it for reporters only?
